After sponsoring a speech by Gen. Colin Powell, Andy Wilson, president of S.Walter Holdings Company enjoyed breakfast with the General and a "photo op".

The generals speech, very well received by the attandees was both informative and inspiring.

S. Walter Packaging has always reached out to those in need in our community. This year we have had to spread our charitable arms farther to those in need. As a result of hurricane Katrina the employees raised $3,000.00 for our southern neighbors. The generosity of S.Walter Packaging did not stop with the employees because the company matched the gifts collected and a total of $6,000.00 was delivered to Operation Brotherly Love, a Philadelphia based organization that directs funds to those in need after disasters.

On the occasion our 100th Anniversary, the S. Walter Packaging Corp. family in realizing our good fortune in both business and in our personal lives wanted to give something back to those less fortunate than we have been blessed to be.

In this spirit, we set out on a fundraising effort on behalf of a friend and business associate of S. Walter Packaging, Ms. Sandy Thomas, who has been afflicted with Multiple Sclerosis, a potentially life threatening disease. We reached out not only from within, but also to all our outside vendors and we are pleased to have been able to raise $22,847.00 on behalf of The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in Sandy’s honor. Sandy was presented with this donation at our recent 100th Anniversary Celebration held at our headquarters located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
